Creativity has always been a constant in my life. Growing up in Minnesota, I discovered early on that I was happiest with a pencil in my hand, sketching ideas, filling notebooks with doodles, and finding inspiration in the everyday. That curiosity eventually led me to attend Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, where I developed the skills and perspective that continue to shape my work today.

For 20 years, I've had the privilege of working as an artist/designer for American Greetings, creating artwork that helps people celebrate life's meaningful moments. Throughout my career, I've remained passionate about illustration, design, and the simple joy of making something from nothing.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me doodling. It's more than a habit—it's how I think, explore ideas, and stay creatively energized. I believe creativity isn't limited to one medium, and I enjoy experimenting with everything from illustration and lettering to printmaking and design.

That passion also inspired me to start Two Sparrows Co., my small screen-printing business. Through Two Sparrows Co., I create handcrafted apparel and printed goods that celebrate originality, thoughtful design, and the craftsmanship behind every piece.

I'm proud husband to my amazing wife, Lydia, whose encouragement and unwavering belief in me have been the foundation of so much of what I've accomplished. She is my biggest supporter in life, and I'm grateful every day for the love, partnership, and inspiration we share.

I'm also incredibly proud to be the father of three wonderful boys—Everett, Asher, and Levi. They inspire me daily with their curiosity, imagination, and sense of adventure, reminding me to keep creating, keep learning, and never stop seeing the world with fresh eyes.

Whether I'm illustrating, screen printing, or simply filling another page with sketches, everything I create is shaped by the people I love most. My family is my greatest inspiration, reminding me to approach both life and art with curiosity, gratitude, and heart. Thank you for taking the time to visit my corner of the creative world—I hope my work brings you as much joy as I've found in creating it.
